This story will pull in your heartstrings. Pearl can only see herself as one of the girls at the local cathouse. She ended up here when her life fell apart. Her favorite person just happens to be the sheriff.
Draven has lived a rough life the last several years. He hung up his bounty hunting hat to be the sheriff in Noelle. He has sweet feelings for Pearl.
When one of the couples skips town these two are thrown together to pretend to be them. They each come into the situation garnering feeling for the other. Only time will tell if it becomes more.
I enjoyed this story and liked how their relationship developed. Draven is a sweetheart under his gruff exterior. Pearl is so kind and always looking for the best in everyone and all situations.
