I expected so much better from this after having read Close My Eyes by Sophie McKenzie. I'm guessing this book is one of her older ones, hopefully it is, because it isn't a very good one.
The plot was so predictable, some things were so cliche, some just baffled me.
I really did enjoy the characters, though, even if I didn't like some of the things they did.

This book was okay, however not quite what I was hoping it would be. I do have to remind myself that it was written over 10 years ago. If you can see past the inaccuracies such as children being able to find all of the information about their adoption and flying on a plane by themselves and getting money out of thin air and then randomly meeting a man who helped them, then the book is alright.

Thankfully I could sort of look past the details but it was difficult. However it was an easy read which I read in one sitting and it was one that kept me intrigued but, I do feel that I only finished as I wanted to see how it would end. I had guessed the ending rather quickly at the start.

Definitely more for the younger age demographic for young adults. It was a very fast read, really easy to read too. There are various plot hole  that don't make sense even for the time it was set it
such as two children buying plane tickets and no one properly questioning them

The characters I think are written decently. It's from the pov of a fourteen year old and the author does a good job at delivering that.
the relationship between lauren and madi is really sweet
and it is really nice seeing all the relationships between Lauren and everyone play out.

Overall a decent quick read, definitely better books out there to read if you're looking for a YA mystery book to read
