I picked this up because of Bridgerton and this was the only Quinn book my library had on the shelf. It has a strong beginning, and there were certain parallels to the show, which amused me, but overall this was just so-so.

The poetry-reading-turned-theatrical-production had me laughing out loud on my lunch break. And that wasn't the only laugh-out-loud moment. I love Quinn's books!

For readers' advisors: character and setting doorways, although language (i.e. witty dialogue) is pretty strong, too. A couple of sex scenes and some mild swearing.

Different plot

The plot was quite different and I truly liked it. Unfortunately I was able to guess it way before it was revealed. I love the quick wit, the humor and, as always, the terror of the Smythe Smith Musicale.
