this is my second favorite book of the house of night series, after hunted...this is where stark shows up...the plot was really interesting, especially where zoey meets the new guy and she feels so drawn to him...but i really didn't like erik's behavior and i have to admit that he is somehow a jerk but no,not really...i was so sad when stark died because it wasn't fair...and neferet..oh, she's a totaly bitch because she was happy about stark's death....she actually wanted him to die so she could make him an undead vampire or actually a monster. when stark died and zoey was watching him with that camera thing, i was hoping that something would happen to bring him back but no...instead of zoey's happy reunion with an alive stark, her grandma's accident distracted her from her duty so she wasn't able to watch after him anymore...and that's how we come to the last part of the book, the final chapters where stark wounds stevie ray, neferet betrays nyx and kalona makes his appearance...and way to the next one(alright not actually the next one because i'm just writing a review after i've already read all the books)silly me;)

I will have to say I absolutely adore this book cover. The long hair, and the tattoos are just stunning. But finally things are happening in this series.. and Zoey doesn't have 3 boyfriends..ugh so beyond frustrating with that.. and very unrealistic. But again this story doesn't move very fast and not much happens in this series to make it a million books long (which is what it feels like). Definitely more of a borrow and read series than a full out purchase.
