Being a west side Oregonian, currently living elsewhere, this book was like a trip home. The preface of wanting to burn your house down because if you can't have it no one can starts out a story of how we can transfer the loss of a marriage to the loss of a house. The loss of place can be like the loss of anything else. I enjoyed the characters and their interactions. I hope when I sell my house, Jordan is no where near me. A good, quick read.

I got a little frustrated with Ellen at points, but the descriptions and dialogue were so spot-on and I did understand her sadness, even though I've never left a home I loved as much as she did her house, so I forgave her for sometimes being a little ineffectual and annoying (and aren't we all, sometimes?). It was a sweet little book, and I really enjoyed it.

Cute book. Pure fluff. Nothing surprising, but definitely engaging. A nice quick read.
