Helped me slow down and breath. Allowed me to sit and be present, even if only for a few minutes.

Right now it is wandering but is so well-written I'm willing to follow it.

I just spent a crapload of time writing my review of this, and the cursed Gods of Goodreads simply didn't save the review and deleted all my text (fuck you too, Amazon) which feels like it should convey a lesson about Zen, impermanence, and writing, but at the moment I'm too annoyed to rewrite. So I'm going to process this failure and review at a later date! Ha, ha.

After reading so many of Natalie's books on writing, I finally wanted to read some of her actual writing, and I am so glad of that choice. This is by far the most beautiful memoir I've ever read. I can't say anything negative about it. I feel I've traveled through Natalie's life and I'm so glad I have. The inspiration I take from this book will last me a long while, I feel. So happy to have read this.
