Dnf’d it at page 100. I loved the first book but god damn it I wanted to like this second book. All he’s done is talk about cases he had already talked about, and it’s not like the cases he’s talking about were unsolved so I don’t know why he’s talking about them again.

I skimmed most of this because the author can sort of go on and on but it was still interesting to a crime/FBI/profiling freak such as me. Plus I now see where Criminal Minds gets 99% of its storylines from!

I'm really glad that there are some people out there that are amazing at catching monsters. I enjoyed a glimpse of how someone could view the evidence and build an idea of what particular type of person (man) would be inclined to do that specific horrific act. In many cases Douglas is able to predict the height, weight, hairstyle, and personality of the perpetrator. I enjoyed the book but it is a very dark subject matter and would not be suitable for many people to read.
