a quick read that got me into the christmas giving mood. What great effect a small, premeditated kindness can have.

This book came to me as suddenly and unexpectedly as a Christmas Jar.
Hallmark, this would make a fabulous adaptation if it isn't already. Truly enjoy in books when all of the characters connect somehow. Super heartwarming. Loved this.

My friend Sarah said it was cheese and I agree, but it fit the bill. An easy read between heavy book club books.

I'm torn. On the one hand, the book has a sweet message and has inspired me to start my own Christmas jar. On the other hand, the writing was mediocre at best. I also found myself bristling at the wording choice or the sentiments expressed on several occasions (for example, "lovingly" referring to a mentally handicapped relative living in a care center as loony, who had absolutely no relevance to the story and was never mentioned again).
A good message with a lackluster delivery. It's extremely short, so it might be worth a read if you have time.

This was another book club selection; I would not have chosen to read this on my own. (I thought it looked suspiciously lame. Glenn Beck's ringing endorsement of it on the back cover only served to deepen my suspicions.) The positive things I can say about it are that it is short and that the idea of a Christmas Jar is a decent one. Otherwise, the plot is entirely predictable, the characters are unbelievable, and the overall story is cheesy.

This was a great feel-good Christmas story! I’d love to do a Christmas jar next year. The joy of the season really does lie in the giving!

I really loved the idea behind this book. What a small act of kindness can do for a community. It was a very quick read, and gives one a longing to act with kindness. Only if everyone had as big a heart as Adam Maxwell.

This author is one of the best I have ever read. If you haven't read this book it's a must.

This is such a heart warming and inspiring story. Another perfect Christmas read. It's amazing how a story can come full circle. I absolutely loved this book. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a non romance christmas book about family love and sharing.
