I came for the age gap and dad’s friend aspect and left completely in love with these two men and their love story.

Lucky has known one thing since he was a teenager — he wanted Zach and one day he’d have him. No amount of rejection was enough to make him call quits on wanting to pursue him. Zach, on the other hand, has spent the same amount of time trying his best to ignore what he feels for his brother’s best friend’s child.

There was quite a bit of things Zach needed to work out in order for him to trust Lucky with his heart. Which resulted in an exhausting push and pull between them that was kinda exhausting — getting to their eventual hea took A LOT of work and was a constant rollercoaster but it made it that much more sweeter.

So much happens in such a short span of time during this book that it was almost hard to keep up with but I hung on for the ride and I’m glad I did. There were a few unresolved issues that I’m hoping get addressed in a future book though.

I recommend Lucky and Zach’s story to whoever likes stubborn men who believe that sometimes rules are meant to be broken.

Good storytelling but it was a little bit long. And I got frustrated with Zach because DUDE let`s make up your mind I don`t want to read every second page about your inner struggle and self hate...

I was so thrilled in the beginning but I think I lost my enthousiasm circa the middle of the novel. It feels like a perfect pace at first, you follow the two main characters, then you want to read more about them, imperfect characters.

And.... you get hit by a slowness in the story, details about thing we don't really care... Though, I have to admit, in all fairness of the authors, the slowness feels more realistic then insta-love. Here we are far from it, it takes a little while to get there!

I liked it but not 4 stars.

Well, this book made me ugly cry, so there's that.
I'm super impressed with this series. I love the romance in them, sure, but the plot just takes everything to the next level in a way most romance novels don't manage. So very glad I took a chance on these books.

This was rough. My stomach physically hurt while reading this book. Zach is the worst. And Lucky is a doormat. I skimmed the last 30% of this book because I just couldn’t handle anymore of their whining.

Yyyyyeah this one didn’t work for me. The only thing I could think throughout was the reviews of the second book where everyone kept saying Ash was a doormat and I couldn’t disagree more. Then I come to the reviews of this book and everyone is like OMG LUCKY AMAZING. Weeeell, I’m sorry but he was so lame I was about to throw my phone out the window, he was the friendly neighbourhood doormat on this series and can’t change my mind

I could almost even go five stars with this but rounding down because it was just a bit too long. Don't get me wrong I like longer books but the three different life or death scenarios they went through was one too many. The whole sabotage was anticlimactic and we could have found a better way to put lucky in danger imo. Oh also appendicitis does not resolve in a week
