Plot📖 : 4/5. Spice🌶️: 4/5
Took me awhile to get through this book after being on a Smauggy bender. This is the last book I’m reading on my KU free trial and this was PERFECTO! I love the premise and the book was very refreshing, it gave Big Hero 6 vibes. It tells the story of Tiana Morris, an excellent coding whiz who is forced to join her brothers secret hacker organization to uncover her brothers murder. Being a Smauggy fan it was neat to see how the other Marvelous 3 series intersected with this one. It kept me on my toes the entire time. The ending is definitely a twist I didn’t see coming but I predicted bits and pieces along the way … Something I wish the author would stop doing in her books though is
having the most 1-dimensional side characters turn out to be side villains for a plot scare then tossed aside (The villains in the Sons of the Elite series, and Daniel's brother in 'Sins of the Father' come to mind. In this book, it's Owen's ex-fling Jay. Dang, Jay just had to be the psychotic gay lover that tries to Kill Tiana , and Tiana’s jump off David becomes the sacrificial lamb? #JusticeforDavid
. Now the question becomes , what does their new revelation mean for the rest of the group?
