I normally don’t read contemporary romances. I usually like a bit of magic & darkness but I thoroughly enjoyed this one (mainly) because of Charlie and how much I identified with Nora being a big sister. If you enjoy snarky main characters and really well written tension - this is for you!

You know when you read a book and the character’s always a huge fan of an author and is obsessed with everything they write? I’m that character and the author is Emily Henry. I’m convinced she can do no wrong. I will always read and love everything she writes. She make’s each character so likeable and real and multidimensional. Literally my favourite author of all time.

Also Charlie and Nora have to be my favourite Emily Henry couple so far. I’m scared to read her next novel because the characters keep getting better and I don’t want to forget how much I love Charlie and Nora.

I haven’t read a romance novel that captured some part of me in a long time. This was absolutely beautiful and everything I didn’t know I needed right now.

Notes: not a great read when you’re already congested with a head cold. I spent the last fourth of the book teary and/or crying.

But aside from the damage to my already compromised sinuses 15/5 stars. Such a perfect read. I have yet to read an Emily Henry that flops and this one might be my most favorite yet.

I especially loved reading this right after a trip to NYC (where I probably caught said germs from the masses of bodies I was around).
