A great continuation of the Sookie Stackhouse series! So good!

So very much fun. I can't help but compare the series to True Blood but doing so gives the whole experience a fuller feel. There's clearly much more complications in the series than in TV and the slow progress of Sookie's falling into a harder version of herself is wonderfully interesting, rather like watching Harriett from Ozzie and Harriett who carries a bloody axe around, the image is innocent and dark at the same time. Still not interested in getting too serious though, Harris keeps the silliness alive and well weaving a truly fun story.

I think I've liked this book the most of the series. It was the perfect read for my beach vacation.

Ehhh. This one was less interesting than the others and significantly less interesting than the corresponding episodes of True Blood so far. While I do plan to read the whole series (well, at this point, I'm averaging a book a day, so what choice do I have?), I think that the first-person narration is holding Harris back--there are so many interesting characters out there, it's a shame we always have to follow Sookie around.
