Of all the versions of Alice in Wonderland, this is by far my favorite one. Truly a story made for a mature audience without over indulging in the specifications of some very obvious dark visuals and themes. Alice includes all the characters from the classic tale we very much know, but has none of their stories tethered- each one sinister and still including magic. If you do not wish to delve into books that involve trafficking, rape, and murder, pls skip this book. But if you're intrigued? Jump into the rabbit hole and find out!

I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. I've been in a weird space lately with books, so maybe that plays into this. I felt that the battles we were building up to the whole book were very anticlimactic. Considering picking up the sequel at some point

The book was fascinating and quite intriguing in its concepts and themes for the most part. However, the ending seemed quite rushed and unstructured as compared to the rest of the book. Whether this was a folly on the author's part or a deliberate change in style to model the tumult and pandemonium of Lewis Carroll's fantasy world I have yet to decide.
