I really enjoyed this and particularly loved the layers of the story beyond the romance. There was a really good exploration of familial loss and grief through this book, though this means that people should check their trigger warnings before reading.

I liked the journey of both Ollie and Will, and how both came to realise that, though their feelings were valid, they had also been ignorant to how their actions and words impacted the other and grew from these events. In contrast to this though, I felt some of the side characters could've used a little of this, particulalry Lara, who I felt had her rude comments swept under the rug due to "finding herself" and never really acknowledged how rude she could be.

Overall, I really enjoyed this, though I did find myself wanting just a little bit more from it, and perhaps a bit more romantic interaction from the MCs. Despite this, it was a good time and anyone who enjoys YA LGBTQIA+ romance will likely enjoy this, too.

One of my new favorites and I really didn’t expect it! I loved how each character felt real and had a story that was actually explored instead of forgotten mid-way through, now that made me really like and root for the characters by the end! It actually made me really emotional at times by the way it deals with grief in a real  way but overall It was a ridiculously fun read with messy lovable dumbasses <3 Plus I loved the relationship between the characters and how they were explored in such a short time! Definitely check the CW’s before reading though man <3

“You’ve got us” Darnell said.

“Yeah. Like they’d even try that shit.” Matt added.

“Besides,” Lara jumped in, grinning over at Juliette as she did. “Even if they did, we can scream louder.”

Nice story. Main character behaved very much like a teenager sometimes, which—while realistic—was somewhat annoying. Liked the bi rep

a great read! i didn't even realize/remember it was a grease retelling! my favourite parts were the accepting moments between the two mains and their friends. all the characters in this book basically went through a maturation when they realized that reciprocating kindness and understanding will get them further than sheer snark and judginess. my most disappointing part was the teen speak, sigh, i just don't think teens (or anyone) have that much internal commentary going on. i know my brain was certainly empty most of the time. my most cried part was the discussions of grief - it always gets me grr.

an amazing story filled with banter, humor, and pining but an even more amazing cast of friends. it’s lighthearted and fun but with a pinch of heartbreak, the perfect recipe for a 5 star book

A coming of age/teen story about two boys with feelings for each other figuring out the world and their place and feelings in it.

This was cute. It dealt with "the usual" teenage feelings and drama, plus an added element of the main character's aunt being terminally ill with cancer.
The audiobook was nice, even if it annoyed when they vocalized "argh" and "ugh" in a very weird way. That's just me tho.
