I can't tell if my audiobook skipped entire paragraphs, or if this book legitimately jumps over some important descriptors. When big exciting things suddenly happen I had no idea what was happening.

This story is a bit on the simple side. Nothing too deep in terms of characters or world building. It feels like Kennedy didn't know anything about being a rancher because absolutely no details were included.

The focus is mainly on the three men and their attraction to each other, the homophobia in the town and how public sentiment seemed to turn on a dime once a second person came out. A bit wish-fullfill-y, but the book is short.
