This book is filled with trauma and death but also laughter, friendship, love and the connection of a strong community. The characters were easy to love and I connected with this book on many levels.

I completely loved this book and think it is a must read. I cried, I laughed, I stayed up way too late reading this. Check below for trigger warning marked as spoiler.

I went in not knowing anything about the story and soon found myself hooked. So much information on Anishinaabe - Ojibwe culture and customs. Fast moving story and well developed characters. Excellent ending. Many strong women throughout.

This was PHENOMENAL. 10/10, edge of my seat, indigenous drama meets FBI undercover meth investigation?? All in a YA book?? So glad this was a required reading for class bc I wouldn’t have picked it myself but man was it good
