A great, fast read. I loved this book. The characters were fabulous and I laughed a lot. The Blond Bobs and craziness of the parents cracked me up the whole time. It also dealt with some serious topics in a way that I found believable and lovely. Definitely recommend this book. It’s very hard to put down.

Oh, calamity!
Can I start using this line in my everyday life? I think it's genius!
I read 2 Liane Moriarty books in a row and I think I really like and appreciate the amount of details she includes in her novels. Some people might find them mundane but I really enjoyed knowing what was going on with the other moms and all the children included.
It's also a bittersweet thing when you predict what's going to happen early on and it turns out to be right. Kind of like spoiling the ending for yourself haha

This book does not glide over the serious issues. Really, it doesn't. But, the writing is smooth enough that the words fly you through the events and you don't pause to think about exactly what is happening in the story, and why you need to think about those events.
Not necessarily a bad book, the writing is smooth, the characters are nice, and it is a nice, breezy read - definitely worthy of three stars.

I haven’t seen the show. The book starts off slow and I almost put it down. I’m glad I didn’t. Just when you think you know where the book is going it takes a twist. The ending is must more of a twist than I thought.
Even while dealing with difficult subjects (DV and SA) this book feels very lighthearted. That can be seen as either a positive or negative. If these issues were going to be a part of the book I wish there had been more heartiness to it. Really bring out the issues and not gloss over them.
Some of the main characters are unlike able. They are very self centered and just not the people I’d choose to be around but they all complete this little circle they are in and play their part.
I was also not aware it took place in Australia so I was a bit confused at first. Also adding due to the current climate this does not appear to have representation of POC (glad the added Zoe Kravitz to the show though).
Definitely worth the time to read. Now going to see if the show is anything like it!

Lots of fillers and definitely not a thriller. For of mystery, I think.

I loved this book!! I loved the way it was set up and the way it was written and the story line. I read another review that said it was a 500-page book that read like a 300-page book and I TOTALLY agree with that. I definitely think that the pacing was excellent and I really cared about all of the (good) characters. I can't wait to watch the series and compare!
