I honestly couldn’t even finish it. The first story was meh but the second one was absolutely unbearable. Save your time and money.

The first story was decent, but the whole book had pacing issues and really struggled to entertain. For a cosmic horror novel, this focused far too much on humans and their cruelty. Not nearly enough mind-bending terror. I hate to say it, but the worst thing about this book was that it was really boring. Meh.

I think "The Sea Dreams its the Sky" edged out "My Heart Was Struck with Sorrow" in terms of creep-factor. The former walks certainly evokes Lovecraft to a certain extent however it brought Clive Barker more to mind for me. "My Heart Was Struck with Sorrow" is impeccably researched and the amount of detail, not so much to be overwhelming, lends the tale an air of credibility that only heightens the tension. Recommended for horror fans.
