Dr.Elizabeth Parker has a secret she is keeping but all that is about to change when her new client is someone from her past. Detective Jackson McKenna was the jock back in high school that saw beneath Elaine Wilson's baggy clothes and fell for the girl hiding underneath and when he realizes that Elizabeth Parker is Elaine Wilson he doesn't want to lose her again.

One night in the past their lives changed and Lainie was gone and now it seems like her life is once again in danger and Jackson vows to protect her this time. The two go on the run but it is clear that the past is catching up with them and targeting anyone in the way.

I thought this book was great and I was definitely in it from start to finish. The book is written in dual POV's so there is some overlap but it is interesting to read it from one side to another as Lainie and Jackson look at things differently which is very important through out the book.

There is a darkness over the book with an event from the past and we get glimpses through out the book but the ending was like wow - some people are just so evil! I really liked the support system behind Lainie and Jackson which allowed them to keep moving.

The book was read within one night and I look forward to more from the author!
