A fun little queer slice of life. Could have used another edit for grammar, but a nice Sunday afternoon read.

I enjoyed this book. An insight into the world of a young girl finding her way in life.
I would have liked it more if the editing for the book had been better, ie. Roll instead of Role.

Minus one star for the frequent use of (the unnecessary and unacceptable) "retarded". Probably won't pick up another of her books in the future.

i think a large part of my affection for this book comes from the fact that when i was a teenager i went through a phase of reading whatever i could about riot grrls and zines and all that alt-culture stuff that seemed like the height of cool to me

and i bet if i read this then i would have loved it the same way, like it is totally the same aesthetic i was looking for

there's a couple reviews here critiquing the characters for being thin and the plot formulaic and sure, point, BUT

you should probably hand this to your friendly neighbourhood fourteen year old girl, i think it's more for her than you

I think had this book been around when I was in high school I would have obsessed over it like one of my friend's did over She's Come Undone.
