As a mother of 2 small boys, I am crushed and very confused. This is a heartbreaking story to say the least.

I marked this as a spoiler review but it doesn’t contain deep, in depth spoilers.

I did not at all expect to cry reading this book. I found myself incredibly angry at the mother, yet moved at her unwavering love for her child. I could understand where the father was coming from up until the last “HIM” chapter. Then I became incredibly angry again. I felt like he was a complete and total hypocrite and I wanted to scream. The whole time I was reading this I couldn’t believe the excuses the mother made for Noah and for what he did. I found myself setting it down and taking deep breaths to remind myself it was fiction.
This is the first book by this author that I’ve read, and I will definitely be picking up more in the near future.

Noah has a problem. He is being released from a treatment center and has to deal with life as a 17 year old who has touched little girls. This book is both thought provoking and gut wrenching. Get your tissues ready.
