ziemassvētku brīvdienu izklaidējošais elements bija gana izklaidējošs. neskatoties uz pāris iebildumiem no manas puses, šis kopumā bija ļoti jauks lasāmais.

3.5. A warm Christmas read that I can’t wait to share with my daughter when she’s older.

Toy Story meets Christmas?
Sort of... in a way?

This one pulled on the heartstrings but I absolutely loved every second of it.
From DP to CP to all the other toys <3

From the book blurb and the cover, I thought this was going to be a feel-good Christmas story. It has a mostly happy ending, but most of the book was filled with lots of sadness and misery. The first few chapters contain domestic issues, a couple divorces, and bullying before we ever get to the actual adventure, which then includes a lot of cruelty in the Land of the Lost. There are bright spots/moments which probably kept me reading, but it took me way longer to finish this book than it should have because I was not invested in the characters at all.
The artwork was the highlight of the book and I wish there had been more of it.

I would give this three stars, but my sons give it five. So, I guess we landed on four. :) Cute story, but I just didn’t find her writing to be up to the standard of her prior books.

It took me a while to get into this book. I've never been a huge fan of JK's writing style, although I love the worlds she creates. This story is adorable and heart-warming. Perfect Christmas read!

Between 2 to 3 stars for me.
It was very very middle grade. I feel like this would read well for 3-8 year-olds. Overall a fun little Christmas story about the value of things around us. It was very adorable and cute at moments. The ending was expected, but the story was written more for the message rather than to shock people.

This ultimately is such a heartwarming story of the love we pour into our beloved childhood toys.
This book would be perfect for parents to read to their younger children and can be appreciated by adults for the love we can share with Replacements. I don’t know that teens would necessarily appreciate the “lesson” of the book… but some I’m sure would!
The storyline flowed nicely and kept me invested as I got further and further into the Land of the Lost. I loved the way all our lost items come alive in the Land of the Lost. I enjoyed the way the lost items were given residence in each of the cities. It was a very well thought out land. The Loser is appropriately terrifying, though I would have loved a *little more development with him. I felt the anxieties of Jack and CP as they searched for DP and the relief when they evaded capture (only to of course find themselves in danger again). I wondered what would come next and was glad to find out how everything wrapped up.
A truly enjoyable book!
