The illustrations in the book were beautiful. Not as beautiful as Kadir Nelson's illustrations, but still beautiful. The story was okay and I liked the multi-ethinic vibe. This book could be used in a story time kit that deals with sounds or music.

The bouncy rhythms will make young kids want to get up and dance, shake and move. Love the illustrations and diversity!

Not many words per page, this one would be great for beginning readers.
The artwork is, I believe, pastels, beautifully rendered.
This would also be loads of fun to read to a group of kids, having them act out each page.

The illustrations were the best I've seen this year! 6 out of 5 stars! The text was unfortunately boring. I read it to Kindergarten and Grade 1; most of them did not like it and started getting fidgety, even though it was a short book. So 1/5 stars... averaged to be 3.5 stars.

This book is a load of fun. My son is a little bit too young for it, but in a couple of years he's going to love stomping his feet, snapping his fingers, and clapping his hands along to the rhythm of the book. Even now, at 7 months, he loved the rhythmic almost song-like way the words roll off the page. I'll definitely be adding this book to his collection and reading it to him again very often!

A repetitive story about movement and dance. Would be fun to act out during storytime.

Oh, how I loved this book! It is filled with beautiful illustrations, rhyming words, and a rhythm you can't help but read in.
