...boring
didn’t feel attached to any of the characters
wished there was more of Klay instead of that weird not human guy
no spice :(
don’t think i’m going to finish the series

✨ The Title/Cover Draw:
My friend gifted the first book to me and I enjoyed it very much. Since the next 2 are available on Kindle Unlimited, I felt like it was a good time to read them.

The plot continued to move apace in this second installation of the Firstborn Academy series. The plot was enticing and was full of twists and turns, but was filled with as many cliches as the first book which limits it from being rated more highly.
Some of the events made me slightly incredulous as well. The solutions to some of the problems seem incredibly extreme and took me be surprise in a negative way. It felt like the author failed to emphasise the stakes enough for the solution to seem a reasonable response and meant at some sections I was reading with eyebrows-raised.
Regardless, Nova remains a strong character admirable character and I read the second book just as quickly as I did the first. I'm intrigued as to how the series will conclude in the next.
