It's 4am, and I am kinda pissed off at this. Almost as pissed as I am towards Soren, lol. Read it till the end because my brain can't drop anything apparently but so many things just did not work for me in this book.

Soren 30ish, hooks up with Jet, 20, even though he keeps on insisting he barely looks legal. It's only the morning after that Soren learns Jet is his friend's little bro and oh, no. So they go their separate ways, Soren gets back into a relationship with his asshole ex and Jet goes on to become a rock star. And falls in love with a boy band member. So that's a mess. They meet again, both heartbroken, on a hot vacation in fijii and they rekindle their relationship.

This book is so damn messy, they're acting like the world is ending over a goddamn ONE NIGHT STAND, and bam it's true love and angst and BROKEN HEARTS???? Like please, have some self-respect! The relationship makes no sense, they had zero chemistry. It feels like Jet is hooking up with an older guy to prove he is not a kid and Soren feels like he is hitting mid-crisis. Soren literally speaks and behave like he is in his early twenties, and that was so damn annoying. You're 33, you should know better! And not be weird! I don't necessarily mind when characters are separated and have other relationships before getting back together, but the love triangle here was kinda icky. Both of them were in love with each other even during their long term relationship? Ewww. And the way Soren immediately jumped on the occasion to bone Jet again gave me bad vibes, I just do not like this man at all.

The plot was ??? The love triangle was ??? But lowkey I am kinda interested in Harley's book now... Because apparently I'm a fucking masochist. I hate it here. Will go to sleep (angry) now, read the last book of the series tomorrow and finally set myself up for disappointment by finally circling back to where I started from - Peyton Miller's book.

holy CRAP I am so annoyed at this book

JET!!!!!!!! My little boy is all grown up!!! I really love their relationship, it was so sweet. I love how the songs are about them, and the one about Noah and Matt?!  Harley was kind of a Dick at first, but I really hope he finds his man.

*Reread 6/26/23 on Audiobook- I’ve reread this a bunch of times recently and still loved it so I was surprised how much I didn’t care for the audiobook. I usually love Iggy Toma but his southern accent clashed with the way I thought Jet would sound. I get that Jet would have an accent since he’s from the south but I just wasn’t feeling it. It’s totally a me thing though because my ex boyfriend is from North Carolina and has an accent a lot like Jet’s and since it’s one of the most dysfunctional relationships I’ve ever been in, hearing a character I love so much sound a bit like him just irked me. No thank you. And because Jet’s narrator had an accent, it made Soren sound like he did also when in Jet’s POV and it felt like there were 4 MCs instead of the two. I’d give the audio 3 stars ⭐️ Thankfully it only cost me $2 during a super sale.

This is my favorite book in this entire series and that’s crazy because I fucking loved book two (Noah/Matt) but this one gave me all the feels! It was so angsty in the beginning that I had tears in my eyes within the first 8 chapters. I loved all the song lyrics too. The lyrics to “Someone Else’s Perfect” made me cry after learning their backstory. This was one of those epic second chance romances and I love Jet/Soren as a couple.

I don’t remember a single thing that happened in this book but it feels like I’ve been reading it for months.

I was super excited for Jet and Soren’s story but honestly it was just kind of meh. I wanted the “forbidden” aspects but there really wasn’t that vibe except for a very small part in Fiji. Mostly Jet was just kind of being unbearable and Soren was being super cringey. Him going back and forth between Jet and Bryce the way he did in the beginning was gross.

Also this book really made me hate Harley and I actually loved him in Pop Star. I know this came out before Pop Star but I’ll start reading these books in order never. Anyway this ruined my vibes for the Famous series that I of course haven’t finished yet.

Nothing was memorable about the spice at all. Honestly the whole Fake Boyfriend series started blurring together back with Talon and Miller and now they’re basically indistinguishable.

Jet and Soren had absolutely no business being in a relationship, but I’m just glad I’m finally almost done with this series. It definitely hasn’t been my favorite of the Sadenverse and I just want to move on.

I have been patiently awaiting Jet’s story ever since he was introduced earlier on in the series. Then when the hints were dropped that Soren was going to be his love interest, I was absolutely on board. I loved Jet from day one; he was fun and even more adorable than he was as a side character. I didn't expect so much focus on his music career, but in the end I didn't mind it. It actually made me curious about the spin off Famous series that I probably would have passed on otherwise. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this book, it was fantastic. The chemistry between the MCs was marvelous as always, the story flowed easily, and the cameos from all of the previous couple didn't hurt either. I am starting to think this author can do no wrong. Another top-notch installment of an unbelievably outstanding series.

DNF at 30% - so much angst over and broken-heartedness without a real sense of chemistry between the two MCs, and only seeing the history thru Jet’s POV was a confusing choice. Not feeling it.
