The thing about Blake is, she is not like any other heroine I've read and the thing about this story, is that it starts going in one direction and then goes in another that you never saw coming. I loved it. The monsters in this story are not really the ones that you think too. Blake seems innocent and sweet but she isn't and she has the backbone to stand up to creatures who are more powerful than her, both physically and metaphysically. The steamy stuff is hot, like really topnotch! These two authors are so good together, we readers are definitely the ones that benefit!

I really enjoyed this read. Was super spicy and very different from what I’ve read before. Loved it.

I almost DNFd at 75% so I just skimmed the rest. The book was very disjointed, with so little actually happening I could barely tell you anything that happened besides dream sex and her parents were terrible. The plot was barely there, the world building was almost non existent beyond a few descriptions of buildings, and there was no reason to believe there was any relationship between any of the men and the FMC with the exception of Steele. I read a lot of monster/alien smut and this is probably one of the weakest ones I've read.

Then the last page says that if you want more spice, buy the paperback? I've never heard of a KU book doing that and honestly it just made me mad.

So hot and steamy...damn that cliffhanger. I can't believe that AMZN pulled this book. It's hot and intense but I've read more explicit stuff than this from there. Don't know if it the special peens or the "psychiatrist" but damn.
