I'm so glad I decided to reread tmi! City of ashes was my least favorite book but this second time I've enjoyed it way more than the first one. I was able to relate more to some characters and details I missed the first time and just forget my initial hate for Simon and the love triangle.

I can't believe I was so mad the first time I read it that Simon was coming in between Jace and Clary. But now I could love more his character and feel more for him. It's the same for Alec and Clary! I found them a little bit annoying but now I really apreciate and love them. 💞

Ahhh!! A perfect return to the series that I’ve vowed to finish. I’ve missed Clary, Jace, Alec, Isabelle, and the rest of the gang... and honestly, it’s nice to have a series that’s similar (in some ways) to Harry Potter, in terms of anticipation and length and ability to get absorbed in the world building.

Now onto book 3!
