I loved how Viola and Leo first met and then how circumstances bring them together again although they are in no way good circumstances but we get to see that spark ignite. But nothing is smooth sailing and it seems every time they get so close to getting things right something happens and you want to rip your hair out and scream as well as at times strangle people. You are torn in so any directions with who you want to stand by and who you want to shake and Viola's Mum and Dad, especially her Dad are the bestest ever!!!

Viola and Leo ❤️
These two have alot to deal with and growing to do after things that have happened. They grow together but also apart. Their chemisty is there from their first meeting at 17 and still there when they meet again years later. Just like ever Jolie Vines book the writting captivates you.

This was a quick read. I enjoyed it and the rock star/injured athlete dynamic. I love the way Vines includes extended family in her books. I appreciate her lack of major cliff hangers

This story will stay with me. ❤️
Oh man. This story was just pure heartbreak and love. There’s a Japanese art called Kintsugi, which is the art of repairing damaged pottery with gold infused lacquer. Philosophically, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise. This book was like that. The Hero, Leo, and the Heroine, Viola, are both so incredibly broken, literally in Viola’s case. They each help the other heal into something, soneONE, better by embracing the difficulties they’ve gone through and using those as lessons to move on.
There were so many wonderful things about this story (aside from my name being used as Viola’s snowboarding friend!) that I just can’t easily get over it. I’ll be thinking about it for days, remembering the wisdom and fatherly strength Gordain gave to Leo, the wonderful way Viola’s family embraced and supported her... I think I could talk about this book for hours. Just, read it. You won’t regret it.
