Wow! Another great dark mafia romance has been added to my favorites pile.

Saxon Forbes is an innocent wealthy heiress who is caught up in a game of revenge. One where she loses the people she loves while falling for a vengeful Don willing to use her for his gains. Will she just be another victim of circumstance?

Kage Malvagio is, for lack of a better word, SAVAGE! His vengeance for his father's death is personal and his torture techniques are cringeworthy. But Kage's obsession with Saxon is beyond redemption as he battles with his desire for her while taking her innocence for leverage. Will he be able to let her go once he's done with her?

Kage is so enamored of Saxon. He has loved her from afar for some time promising her grandfather Silas he would stay away. Most Dons would have just taken what they wanted, but his respect for her grandfather is honorable. I also have to admit he fought his attraction for her valiantly until circumstances forced his hand. And don't underestimate the tenacious and courageous Saxon. She literally fights tooth (OUCH!) and nail to escape Kage's clutches. Her sheltered life didn't prepare her for Kage and his nefarious ways, but the woman definitely has backbone and grit and can hold her own with a testosterone-filled "massive boy castle". She is also incredibly smart and savvy enough to face the consequences of what her father did to her and to accept Kage for who he really is. Her grandfather named her Wildflower for a reason. She's a survivor and she will thrive in the most unlikely of places. No one has her back better than she does. But her over-confidence gets her in trouble as the unforgettable cliffhanger leaves you cold.

There are several supporting characters including family, good and bad. Also, the connections Saxon makes with some of Kage's mafia entourage are funny and sweet as she boldly earns her way into their hearts.

What a dark and unflinching start to a wonderful series. I can't wait to pick up Book 2 and watch Kage and Saxon get their happy ending. If you love the perfect blend of dark, heat, angst, humor, and romance, give this book a try. It won't disappoint.

Thank you to Ms. Clayton for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

I should have DNF’d but I was being stubborn…. This was like reading a Wattpad story written by a 12 year old… I literally can’t

That cliffhanger was just *gasps* - good thing part 2 is already downloaded and on my shelf hehe.

I actually started this book back in January (11 months ago) but ended up only reading half before deleting it. I must have been smoking something that day because this was awesome. Saxon is right up there with my favourite kickass female leads, she was hilarious and just awesome. The dialogue was hilarious. Kage is super sexy.

Let me begin by saying until now this is the most dark romance I've read and I LOVED IT ALL. Kage & Saxon had the type of Bonnie & Clyde love it's like she became a version of Kage he didn't know he needed it. I loved everything about this book even though they were some things that got me scared and looking the other way. This is the first time I read Kelsey I might check her other books but reading if they have trigger warnings first. This book is the definition of Dark, chaotic and beautiful love story. Kage had everything he needed to be happy he had his demon as a wife and also he had the peace he craved. I love the extra scene it gave us more of how much of a goner Kage became,

Wow! What. A. Twisted. Ride.

Dark, twisted, bloody, and raw. Do not expect the villian to soften and swoon for his mafia princess. When you pick up Suffer in Silence you are stepping into the underbelly of a merciless mafia world and they do not take prisoners to live out a cushy life long sentence. Clayton let all the monsters out to play and she held nothing back...but, is her Prada Princess ready to play?

Kage Malvagio is the current Don of the Italian mafia and there is a lot at work that leads him to Saxon Forbes' door and more importantly as his captive.

There is a tangled web between these two, but this is just book one of a duet, so I'll let you untangle those ropes to get to the heart of the story and enjoy the twisted darkness for yourself.

Whoa

Talk about a whirlwind.

Kage might not be my favorite name but it's grown on me. Mr. Malvagio is absolutely growing on me. I have always had a soft spot for a mafia hottie. Kage fits that to a t. Add in the enemies element, the forbidden, and the kidnapping- I'm just not sure anyone would be able to fight the tension or the lust. Good thing we get to go along for the ride.

One thing you always need to know, watch your back and trust no one...

Too bad no one told Saxon that!
