This high interest title features a captivating crime story told through emails, transcripts, etc. The readability is quite low and the short length and abundance of white space on the pages make this title excellent for teen readers with lower reading ability and/or little motivation to read. (This is to be expected, since the publisher is known for producing hi-lo titles). The author’s note added a compelling layer to this work that I am certain readers at my school would love. I will definitely be purchasing this series for my library ASAP.
