This is my first book in this series that I have read. I read reviews of the other books and I don't think those would be my cup of tea. I liked this one fairly well. I like when characters have language barriers and must survive together.
Baldric was a sweet, protective male who immediately thought to do the right thing and protect the women as well as plan to tell officials about their abduction to seek justice and prevent it from happening again. I liked that about him a lot.
The biggest thing about this book that I did not like was the spanking. It is just a turn off for me, so I had to skim over those parts.
I also wishthat we had some resolution with Olivia and her friends. We hear what happened to each of them on their journey but not if they ever get to see Olivia again. I thought that was a bummer.
