Fuck Enva and her cowardly ass that is making mortals fight the divines and the underworld creatures. All she does is make mortals hear her harp and join her army, no aid.
I am sure there is more to the story and book 2 will reveal it. Like how Roman’s dad had certain grenade like thing that he said will be explained later. But for now? I am fcking pissed for my Iris and Roman.

This book is worth all of the hype and is possibly one of the most beautifully-written books I’ve ever read. I LOVE that it reads like historical fiction with fantasy elements. I am a sucker for a book with letters that characters write to each other, and these ones were particularly moving.
Iris and Roman’s rivals to lovers relationship is incredibly sweet, and both characters are strong, realistic, and have a lot of depth. I can’t wait to see how the story continues in Ruthless Vows.

For those of you asking did I finish this book the answer is no, THE BOOK FINISHED ME. This book gave me emotional whiplash. I currently have a book hangover. I sobbed for twenty minutes after I finished reading the book. This book was so beautiful. Do not read if you like being happy.
