A thoughtful book digging into how AI is actually being used vs the marketing of AI. This book interconnects the web of AI via an “atlas” across various industries and applications, and errors on the side of caution with how it is used, mainly focused on the exploitative nature of AI.

Fantastic and utterly terrifying look at AI and big tech. Essential reading.

I wish this book was longer! I feel like there was so much more that could be said. As someone who works in tech, I knew a lot of this already but it was still really great to read wrapped up in this book. The first and last chapters definitely read like an argumentative essay and I am not sure how I feel about that- its like I could hear the structure of how the sentence was written, which I've never noticed in other books and don't think I enjoyed.
I'd love an updated version but unfortunately, this is one of those books that will always be out of date slightly, regardless of when you publish it.
