Ya know I got what I expected I guess. I will say it had some goodish characters (like Liam) and the dragons were cool. Not a huge fan of the rest tbh. Wasn't THE worst read but also wasn't something that blew me away. If you are trying to get back into reading maybe you would like this (though only if you don't think too hard about certain plot points and characters)...otherwise don't waste your time.
Graphic: Sexual content
Moderate: War
Minor: Terminal illness
Main character has a chronic illness but it isn't expanded on a part from her constantly breaking (maybe minor body horror?...nahhh) theres war but its not explict and doesn't come up in a meaningful way its just kinda....there... the spicy scenes of which there are 2 are very graphic but imo poorly written so... do with that what you will.rileybeez's review against another edition

I hesitated to go for this book with all the hype around it. I’ve been let down before but honestly? It was the best book I’ve read all year - if not in the last several years.
The world building is unique, the characters are complex, the relationships and political dynamics are intriguing. The FMC best asset is her brain.
I’ve never had a book that I desperately wanted to both savor and devour as I have this one.

Graphic: Murder, War, Death, Sexual content, and Violence
Moderate: Bullying, Animal death, Fire/Fire injury, Grief, and Terminal illness
Minor: Terminal illness, Gore, Torture, Blood, Death of parent, Vomit, Forced institutionalization, and Injury/Injury detail
Animal death refers to dragons. There is a lot of death and loss. If you are sensitive to that, tread carefully. Nothing is too graphic as far as injuries but they are frequent.
