I loveeeee these books. The ultimate escapism (time period/ location/ society). As soon as I finished it I wanted to go back and read the first book again- Harper’s ability to develop depth in her characters is unmatched, you really feel like you know the wolf den girls in real life, understanding their flaws and the way they think and act !! Can’t fault it, bring on no 3 !

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟After adoring The Wolf Den, I was over the moon to be offered a copy of the second installment to the Trilogy to devour. And just like The Wolf Den, devoured I did. I was captivated by Amara and her she-wolves before and I was so excited to return to Pompei and see where their stories move next. We are in a different household but the villains we love to hate soon return as well as some other questionable characters. Elodie Harper is such a talented writer with the vivid imagery across the daily lives of those of the time - she has me hooked on every page. Yes this is fiction, but she truly sets the scene of a time that was both simple and dangerous for many in different genders and classes. Amara, our leading lady, has evolved even more in her strength and detirmination yet her flawed decisions are also brought to light to highlight the risks of the time. Overall, this engrossed me just like The Wolf Den and I am certain the last installment will be worth the wait to finish this spectacular series. Fuelled with risk, danger and emotion this is an incredible historical fiction series you won't want to miss
