Two broken men trying to figure out a new path together.

I love it. It's my favorite genre. No notes.

ALSO unashamedly love the fact that Ethan has body hair. I'm obsessed with it. He looks so good with his beard and chest hair and I feel like it's not as common in manga as some of us hope.

An emotional story that focuses entirely on the protagonists and their growth. It was a perfect blend of sad and heartwarming. I wish there was more as I'm attached to these two now, but for it's small size I found it quite impactful.

*More of a 3.5*

Ethan is living a dull life, just trying to get by as he pays off his crippling debt. One day there's a break in his monotony when he runs into Mike at the laundromat looking very beat up. Due to circumstances the men get closer and end up living together. Both have struggles that bring them together, but also threaten to rip them apart.

where to read/ buy your copy

There's just something about bl involving older men falling in love that I'm just really into and CTK provides that. Although just like a previous work I've read by them it wasn't enough for me. I enjoyed this, but I can't help but feel like it's missing something. I just wanted more from their pasts, their relationship and just everything. I need another volume. Based on the things we learn about both of them and the way their relationship progressed it just feels like it should be more. Their relationship moves pretty quickly and there was a lot of back and forth that I personally felt like there wasn't enough of them together. I liked what I read and the art was great. I just need another volume or something.

The positive thing is that this is beautifully illustrated. The story is enjoyable and quite rough around the edges. Both main characters are mysterious and i liked their personal development as the story went on. And yes, the spice is nice.

What i did not like and what put me off at the very start of the story is the way Ethan 'takes care' of a beaten up Mike. Taken advantage of right off the bat felt a little unnecessary and even discredits how sweet Ethan really is. The whole plot that happened after that was fine. Better even. But i could not let go of that initial scene.

It's still a beautifully illustrated story with two incredibly handsome men. But the ending left me with a lot of questions. It's that easy to get out crime? Just delete a phonenumber. How convenient.

This was dark and light all at the same time in the emotions department.
