This is the last book in the Academy of Stardom series, and overall I felt like this book didn't have much going on. Yeah, we finally got to get to the end of the chaos that David caused. Still, most of this book was just the Breakers trying to figure out how to protect Pen while Pen was trying to figure out how to protect her baby sister. Unfortunately, the series put so much into building up this finale, and the finale fizzled out. I kind of wanted Pen to fight for her Breakers, but it felt like she was just this damsel in distress the whole time, and we learned from previous books that she was this big fighter. She grew up in a terrible position, so she had to be this scrappy, resilient kid. Technically she does end up fighting for one of the boys, but I kind of wanted her to sacrifice herself to save the Breakers and her sister because it just feels like that's what she would've done. Then the whole epilogue, I just really wanted more from it. We jump 6 months into the future, and we don't get a good ending since all we really do is see their recital. I wanted the jump to be a few years ago and see where they all ended up because I loved their reverse harem so much!
