Enjoyed pieces of this book, but it just didn’t hit for me. Felt like a lot of the scenes were superfluous and the plot was repetitive, dialogue awkward at times

I read a fair amount of magical realism, and I'm now convinced that Ruth Emmie Lang is the master of the genre. Interwoven seamlessly with thoughtful, flawed, beautiful women, the magic fits naturally with the story of the Wilder family. The shifting timelines highlight how the past, present, and future are really one and the same. Just a beautiful book from beginning to end.
