Another fun read from Bentley Little. Fans of his work will enjoy this one. Very much a kitchen sink approach here. A lot of different incidents loosely connected to each other because of the location. A lot of violence, sex, rape in this one, so if that is an issue for you I’d avoid it. The characters here were ok. Didn’t really care either way for them, which did disappoint me a bit reading this right after the Summoning, which had great characters in it. This is a 3.5 or a 4 stars, depending when you ask me. If you’ve never been a fan of the author, this one isn’t likely to sway you, but if you are, you’ll probably like it

Little’s books are always a combination of creeping terror, explosive horror, over the top satire and gratuitous, over the top, disgusting violence. Usually, these are balanced. This one went WAY too hard on the latter for me. I’ll return to Little soon, but this one means I’m going to take a bit of a break.
