Interesting retelling of my favorite fairy tale. Idea was not bad, but it needed more pages to add more depth to the characters.

This was a hot mess that needed a lot more editing. Also more showing, not telling. I could have done without the slut-shaming or the reducing everything to Belle's attractiveness.

Splendid

This is a splendid take on the fairytale, which I found to be quite unexpected and unique. The characters were on point.

I really enjoyed this take on Beauty and the Beast. It's a light, great read without feeling silly.

The story itself is pretty unique and interesting, but it needs a serious proofreader!

I can see why so many people DNF this book very early and I came close to being one of them.

This is a beauty and the beast retelling that starts off with a couple of very X-rated scenes that threw me off completely and, since the book is pretty short, I never quite managed to get into it.

It has quite a few interesting aspects, including the Beast's well... beastliness, and a tough heroine that can hold her own, but apart from the needlessly graphic scenes, they went from insta-lust and an adversarial relationship, to love in the blink of an eye, without giving me a chance to catch up.

The beauty and the beast trope is one of my favorites, but I felt no warm and fuzzies from this retelling unfortunately, and although I like some of the ideas behind the retellings in this series, the execution leaves me unsatisfied.

The series continues with [b:The Snow Queen|30045379|The Snow Queen (Not Quite the Fairy Tale, #4)|May Sage|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1461793698s/30045379.jpg|49847322], but I am not sure if I'll ever read it given that the odds of it disappointing me like its two predecessors are quite good...
