Easily my favorite of the BTVS comics I've read. The alternate reality allows an original story to be told, as opposed to early Buffy comics that are constrained by trying to exactly replicate the tone of the show. The characters' voices are authentic (although Anya's isn't quite consistent), and the art is beautiful. I love seeing a story about Buffy as an adult—especially one that represents the social and physical challenges of middle age with as much gravity as the show treated the challenges of high school and young adulthood.
