Trouble comes in three's. I just recently finished reading Boys of Brayshaw High by Meagan Brandy where the "kings" were three adopted (non-blood) brothers and now we have triplets as high school royalty. Hmmm.

I loved it. I'm usually wary of enemies to lovers where one of the MCs (it's usually the H) is a bully, but this book didn't suck because we all know that West is not truly mean. Despite what he says to Blue, he still cares about her and he didn't really go too far with trying to hurt her (well, at least before that last part).

I loved Blue and West's chemistry, although damn, I love Ricky too. I wish we could keep them both (can we???).

As a bullied h, Blue was not so bad. My favorite bullied h ever is still Raven from Brayshaw because maaan, she was badass.

This book totally ends in a cliffhanger btw.

The Golden Boys is the first book in the Kings of Cypress Prep series. This book is told from dual points of view from Blue and West. Blue has had a tough life. Her mother took off, and her father is an alcoholic. Her brother is in jail, and Blue has to take care of her 14 year old sister. She gets a scholarship to a better school, and while there she meets West.

West is one of the most popular boys on campus. The call him and his brothers the Golden Boys due to their last name. West finds something about Blue and wants to punish her for it. Blue doesn’t understand what West's problem is.

West and his minions keep doing things to Blue to make her life harder at this new school. West has conflicting feelings. He's mad at her with what he found, but he also has feelings for Blue. Blue won't just stand down, she fights back against West and his minions. She knows he has issues with her, but she has feelings for him as well.

When something bad happens at the end of the book will Blue take it or step up and get even. I can not wait to see where this book goes next. I'm curious to see what happens when West finds out everything is not as it seems.

It’s probably unhealthy how much I love this story…

This is my second time reading West and Blue’s story and I must say it’s even better the second time! This book has everything I look for in a book, angst, revenge, a damaged heroine, and a an angry broken hero. These are the types of books that I believe allow us as readers to fully connect with the characters and stand back and watch them grow.

If you haven’t read this book or any of the other ones in the series I highly recommend you do!!

This book had me hooked from beginning to end. I only hated and (and loved to be honest) that it ended abruptly on a cliffhanger. I have the comfort of knowing it is a series, and the next TWO books are about this couple. I am a little worried I will get tired of them over three books, but the first book I started this weekend and already finished. If you love gossip girl, it's the same vibe but better. At least the og, I can't speak for the remake.
