She is an incredible narrator and did a great job making audiobook listeners experience add ins that were in the print version.

If Rachel Bloom is 'not' normal, then my goodness, I sooooo want to hang out with her because who else is, really? Loved the refreshing vibe of these essays, wherein Rachel herself shone so bright and kept that BFF-edge to her when telling you about her life, all she went through, pulling on your heartstrings all while never actually doing it in that 'woe is me' tone a lot of people tend to adopt. No, this is fresh, candid, in your face, sometimes crass, almost always over the top...but this is also honest, a woman showing you who she is in all her flaws and foibles and idiosyncrasies, not asking you to like her or anything, but just putting herself out there. That's brave, that takes courage, and that also makes for an entirely engaging and engrossing read! While I do know Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and haven't yet had a chance to become a fan, I knew who Rachel Bloom 'was' but I'm so glad I read this and really got to know 'her', the person behind it all

I somehow missed Crazy Ex Girlfriend when it was originally broadcast, and managed to discover it on Netflix just before it expired there, so I ended up binging all four seasons in a short period of time. I was delighted to find this audiobook at my local library because it filled the sudden Rachel Bloom-shaped hole in my pop culture life after the binge. It's a little short and light for a memoir, but she's young and still has a lot of of living to do. Highly recommend the audiobook for the musical numbers.

Rachel Bloom is so funny and I love her and I also found this book kind of grating! Both things can be true. I’m glad I read/listened to it.
