I thought a fair amount about why I disliked this book so much. Turns out it's because it's not relatable. What makes books like this good for me is the ability to relate to the female character, which is absolutely impossible with this book. Also the writing was terrible.

I liked the push and pull between Jake and Sarah. Their chemistry made their interactions really fun. Sarah was also a really great character. I loved that she was soft and innocent in some ways and fierce and protective in others.

I’m not normally one to pick up historical Western romances. I still don’t think I am. Lol. It was just ok for me dawg. I’ve read worse though.
