“Loneliness is a bitter, wretched companion. Sometimes it just won't let go”

WOAH. This book felt really different to the first three. The extended metaphors persist, unfortunately... But this book had so many twists and turns, so many things happening that I was just... shocked. Firstly, this book is dual POV, which is different, and a bit jarring. Secondly,
who decided to leave a 17-year-old in charge of the country?? It should have been Warner from the start. Speaking of Warner, I actually liked the addition of his POV in this book. He's got a lot going on.
The ending was also crazy. I can't believe this series initially only had three books.

a wonderful book I couldn't completely wrap my head around. It was complicated and quick paced while also feeling like its taking ages to read. This book had me experiencing whiplash from all of the emotional turmoil it put me through. I could feel the emotions through the pages and it had me reaching for it in my free time, while also dreading the feeling of finishing it. Amazing book, 100% reccomend. 0.25 stars taken away
purely because they broke up Aaron and Juliette/Ella without putting them back together yet.

It would be a wonderful book if only it didn't have all the unnecessary and unrealistic drama between Warner and Juliette.  SPOILERS!
There is only two things they fight about:

1) “oh, I don’t know you at all, it scares me, I barely know who you are.. “
you only been dating for like few month… not even a year! You can’t possibly know the person in such a short amount of time 🙄

2) “oh, you lied to me, I’m so mad at you, You didn't tell me I was adopted. We are breaking up”
🤦🏼‍♀️ He can’t possibly tell you everything you wish to know at such a short period of time.. A lot of things just haven't came up yet! Jesus! And the only one thing he ACTUALLY kept from you was just to protect you from unnecessary heartbreak.

This just ruined the book for me. The plot twist themselves were amazing and enough to give it 5 stars, but I felt myself rolling my eyes half of the book just because of  Warner's and Juliette's relationship.
