I swear I don’t only write reviews for books I hate, it just seems like it

This was painful to get through. There’s n o chemistry between the MC and LI. Millie was insufferable at best. The friend group was dull and not memorable.

I did like the integration of the chat feature though.

Beautiful friends to lovers chemistry and heartbreaking and healing. Brilliant story: dealing with trauma and learning to be vulnerable.

Enjoyable. The female main character had “written by a man” energy which knocked it down a star for me.

Millie is a unique creature of habit in the sense that she is smart, funny, and sarcastic, but she doesn't talk about her or her life or know how to let people in. Whenever she feels a deep conversation is coming, she deflects and turns to jokes or changes the subject. But then, her dating alter ego, Cat, starts having conversations with Reid (her best friend), the kind she's never had with him in real life, and he starts liking her (Cat).

I haven’t laughed this much in a book in a long time. My favorites parts were hands down the back and forth IRL messaging and witty banter. The characters in MFHNS were lovable, hilarious, relatable and worth the emotional investment.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the characters in it. The only reason I have it four stars is because I feel like I wanted more. Once they finally got the HEA they deserved, there wasn’t enough of their story together. Christina Lauren know how to write romance and I’m here for it!!
