I loved this book and read it in one sitting, but the last 10% of the book through me off.

Freida does it again. Twists, turns, who did what? April is a sweet baker mom with secrets galore. Everyone in this town has secrets. You wonder who is telling the truth and who isn't. It's a good, fast and entertaining read.

This would be a 4 star book if not for the epilogue.

So a drugged up senior citizen breaks out of her nursing home, drives to her son-in-law's office somehow, then spots her son-in-law's secretary who she thinks is her daughter, follows her to her apartment, and then has the strength to beat over the head with a shovel hard enough to kill her, and we are supposed to believe any of this? She's still drugged up, even if one of the nurses has been giving her less medication, so the fact that she was even able to figure out the navigation system in the car she stole and drive to his office, to his girlfriend's apartment, and back safely is beyond me.

The story itself had holes, which I could have overlooked, but the epilogue almost ruined the entire book for me. I only took off one star because I really enjoyed the rest of it. I'll just pretend that Maria was actually the killer and the epilogue was April's mother hallucinating from the drugs she's been given, which would make more sense.
