A good book. Good twists and turns, some of them unexpected. Not one of my favourites by her as it didn’t grip me immediately but it was a good one.

I love an untrustworthy narrator, but this didn't work for me as well as it could have. I feel like the best untrustworthy narrators are ones in which you get basically the whole story but in a severely biased bent. In this book, you get the story from April for the first about half of the book, and then the narrator turns to Julia in the second half of the book. So you assume
that April is telling the whole truth initially, and then you doubt her when Julia starts talking, and it becomes clear that that is the actual truth. Which was a little disappointing because I like a little doubt.
But then you realize that
April has been leaving all kinds of events out of her story, which is just like. Oh. And you feel a little left out.
Also I really hated both narrators lol with their classist and annoying selves.

Great quick read. The twists and turns keep you guessing.
