3 1/2 stars

Smart story -- interesting premise, nice to have female lead as an in- demand scientist...

I rounded up to 4 stars for an overall rating, but there were definitely parts of the story that didn't make sense (WHY doesn't she have a Phd? there was an attempt at a weak explanation that totally didnt work for me) and other disconnections that took away from the story.

cute book. nothing special just good vibes all around. didn’t really like kits whole attitude towards the job offer but i’m glad she sorted something out in the end.

excuse me while I track down and read every book by this author; even if they’re all exactly the same I know I’ll have a great time

Okay new author I really like alert!! The writing was really spectacular here, and you really feel like you’re in Kit and Ben’s minds. I really like that Ben is a good, nice, actually honorable man. He didn’t fuck up really bad, he didn’t treat her poorly, he didn’t even THINK anything bad. It can be SO EXHAUSTING always reading these morally grey men with six packs that we are just meant to fall in love with because they’re hot, and have I mentioned, six pack?
I also can relate to Kit in some pretty fundemental ways, and while she doesn’t end up being right about Ben betraying her and she WAS rude to him— her big gesture was really sweet and well thought out. And I like how she ended up getting to keep what she loves, instead of having to compromise.
