Funny and fast paced. The series is somewhat dated - both in content and sensibility - but still a lot of fun.

I loved this just as much the second time reading it as the first. This is my favorite kind of chick lit, and I love the e-mails, IM's, and all that other good stuff. It just makes the reading more fun, and lets the reader get into the heads of more than just the main character.

I found myself on a flight back to London with no book and all the bookshops behind the passport check point, and then I thought - I have my computer with me, why don't I get an easy book to read in a few hours since I have to pick up Stefan Zweig back home for a book club.

The thing is - I like easy books, and I do like romances, and I did like Meg Cabot when I was a teenager. I guess it's a bit unfair to judge a book written more than 10 years ago, but some things I just found jarring enough not to enjoy this book all that much. Fine, these books are supposed to be unrealistic, but some things were a bit rushed (proclamations of love, much?) and the characters were a bit unlikeable. I never did found bulimia very funny after all. It was just a bit forced, is all.

The ending was lacking. However, the creative way Cabot used emails, voicemails, faxes, letters, and IM's to communicate the entire novel was fun and interesting.
